QA Architect

Summary:

In this position, you must have in-depth knowledge of a variety of testing techniques and methodologies with proven ability to provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the quality and development teams.

As a hands on contributor, the QA Architect will be required to "lead by example" while guiding small teams of QA engineers in testing and infrastructure projects.

The QA architect is expected to consistently look beyond the current release with the goal being long-term improvement of the QA processes and capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and refine QA infrastructure to achieve maximum efficiency and effectiveness
  • Set QA strategic direction and priorities in the testing of new development features.
  • Provide feedback to development team to enhance the testability of existing and new features.
  • Prepare and drive strategies for specific testing challenges such as high concurrency, large scale databases, and end-to-end traceability.
  • Design, review, approve, and implement testing strategies across QA organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline; Master's Degree or global equivalent a plus
  • Typically 7 or more years of experience in software quality assurance testing, with experience in software design and development a plus. Exposure to many different products and QA methodologies will be extremely valuable.
  • Hands-on experience and strong technical background on databases, test automation and performance testing.
  • Strong technical leadership skills
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Linux/MySQL expertise is a huge advantage
  • Datawarehousing knowledge desirable
  • Strong business awareness
  • Hands on knowledge with common software development and scripting languages/tools.
